G. B. Tennyson (1930- )
Emeritus Professor of English at U.C.L.A., where he edited for many years 19th Century Studies.
The co-producer and co-author (with David Lavery) of Owen Barfield: Man and Meaning (directed by Ben Levin), he edited Owen Barfield on C. S. Lewis and The Barfield Reader and has authored/edited numerous books (including A Carlyle Reader and Victorian Devotional Poetry : The Tractarian Mode) and articles, several  on Barfield's work, including one of the first published essays: "Owen Barfield and the Rebirth of Meaning" in Southern Review (1969).

He contributed to Evolution of Consciousness: Studies in Polarity and spoke at the Owen Barfield Centenary.
