Cecil Harwood (1898-1975) |
Barfield's lifelong "first"
friend (in Lewis's terms from Surprised by Joy).
They attended school
together at both Highgate School and Oxford and both became
anthroposophists, Harwood going on to a a
career as a Waldorf school educator.
He authored a book on Waldorf education, The Recovery of Man in Childhood, and
contributed to Evolution
of Consciousness: Studies in Polarity.
